Why the tiles are 3:4

TikTok posts are 9:16, but the profile grid crops every thumbnail to roughly 3:4. If you split an image into 9:16 pieces, the grid trims the top and bottom of each one and the rows stop lining up.

RepostGrid cuts 3:4 tiles, so the profile shows exactly what you see in the preview. If you also want each post to fill the whole screen when someone taps it, turn on Full-screen tiles under Adjust. Each tile becomes 1080 × 1920, and the extra space above and below comes from your image or the background.

Post a grid without breaking it

Start at the bottom-right
Post the tile marked 1st first. Your newest post shows top-left, so the grid fills in from the bottom up.
Post all nine in one go
Anything else you post in between lands inside the grid and shifts every tile after it by one spot.
Finish with the top-left
The 9th tile goes up last. Check your profile: the image should read as one picture across all nine posts.

New posts later push the whole grid along. For something that stays put, pin a three-piece banner.

How do I split an image into 9 for TikTok?

Choose your image and keep TikTok grid selected. It cuts the image into a 3×3 grid of 3:4 tiles and shows them on a TikTok profile. Save the nine tiles and post them from the 1st to the 9th.

What size image do I need for a 3x3 TikTok grid?

3240 × 4320 pixels is a perfect fit: nine tiles of 1080 × 1440. A smaller or differently shaped image still works. Drag and zoom to choose the crop, or use Fit with a blurred background.

Which tile do I post first?

The bottom-right tile, marked 1st. TikTok shows your newest post first, so you build the grid from the bottom up and finish with the top-left tile, marked 9th.

Can I pin a 3x3 grid?

Not all of it. TikTok lets you pin three posts, which is one row. If you want something that stays at the top of your profile, make a three-piece banner instead and pin it.

Will a 9:16 photo work?

Yes, but the profile grid shows only the middle 3:4 of each post, so a plain 9:16 split loses the top and bottom of every tile. RepostGrid cuts 3:4 tiles by default. Turn on full-screen tiles if you also want each post to fill the screen when opened.

Can I make a bigger grid?

Use the Rows control to go from 2 rows (6 tiles) up to 6 rows (18 tiles). The steps and file names update to match.
