How to split a banner into 3 for TikTok

Three steps, and nothing leaves your phone or computer.

  1. Add your image

    Pick a wide photo or artwork. A 3240 × 1440 image fits exactly, but any size works: drag it into place and zoom until the three pieces look right.

  2. Check the preview

    See the pieces as pinned posts at the top of a TikTok profile, or in your Reposts tab, before you post anything.

  3. Save and post right to left

    Save the tiles to your phone. Post and pin the right piece first and the left piece last so the banner reads the right way round.

Post the right piece first

TikTok puts your newest post, newest pin and newest repost at the front of the row. Post the left piece first and it ends up on the right, so the banner reads backwards. RepostGrid labels the tiles 1st, 2nd and 3rd and saves them in that order.

Post the right piece first and the left piece last. TikTok shows the newest post and the newest pin first, so the banner reads left to right.

What is a TikTok banner splitter?
It cuts one wide image into three equal pieces that you post as three separate photos. When those posts sit side by side in the top row of your profile, they read as one banner. People also call it a banner cutter or a banner divider.
How do I split a banner into 3 for TikTok?
Choose your image, keep the TikTok banner layout selected, and drag or zoom until the preview looks right. Then save the three tiles. They are numbered 1st, 2nd and 3rd, which is the order you post them in.
Which piece do I post first?
The right piece. TikTok shows your newest post first, so post the right piece, then the middle, then the left. Pin them in that same order so the banner stays at the top. Our posting guide covers the details.
How does a repost banner work?
Your Reposts tab also shows the newest repost first. Post the three pieces from another account, then repost them from your main account, right piece first. The repost banner maker sets up the preview and steps for you.
What size should a TikTok banner be?
3240 × 1440 pixels. That splits into three 1080 × 1440 tiles, the 3:4 shape TikTok uses for profile thumbnails. If you want each post to fill the screen when someone opens it, turn on full-screen tiles for 1080 × 1920 pieces. More in the banner size guide.
Will parts of my banner be covered?
A little. TikTok puts a view count at the bottom-left of each post and a Pinned tag at the top-left of pinned posts. Keep faces and text away from those corners. The editor can show where they sit.
